Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized speech and language support for students in a K-12 educational setting within Southern California. This full-time contract position focuses on addressing mild to moderate speech delays in elementary or middle school students. The workweek typically runs from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, aligning with the school day to optimize student engagement and progress.
Locations available include Canoga Park, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, and Oxnard, offering flexible placement options within the region. This role emphasizes direct therapy, comprehensive testing and assessments, as well as active participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to tailor interventions that meet student needs.
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Valid California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Experience working with mild to moderate speech delays
- Ability to conduct thorough speech assessments and testing
- Skilled in providing direct therapy catered to diverse student needs
- Proficiency in collaborating within multidisciplinary teams during IEP meetings
- Flexibility to work in elementary or middle school environments
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to K-12 students
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings facilitating student progress tracking
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as per educational standards
