Los Gatos, CA

Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with 283 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

Now is an exciting time to join Netflix as we continue to expand globally, reaching over 300 million paid members in more than 190 countries. As we grow, we are committed to fostering user trust and transparency while balancing business needs. A key focus area is ensuring a seamless and consumer-centric approach to data collection, consent, and privacy controls. We aim to set the foundation for a best-in-class privacy experience that empowers users while supporting business innovation.

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for designing, strategizing, executing, and prioritizing initiatives that enhance user transparency and control over their data. You should be comfortable leading in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, collaborating with engineering, design, legal, data science, and consumer insights teams. You will be expected to build consensus while confidently making decisions amid ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a horizontal product strategy that ensures alignment across multiple product teams across Netflix, balancing user privacy, business objectives, and regulatory compliance.

  • Define and execute a roadmap focused on consumer-facing data collection, consent collection, privacy controls, and related privacy considerations across all platforms.

  • Drive experimentation-based approaches to optimize data coverage, improve consent experiences, and enhance user trust.

  • Author strategy memos and presentations, representing your team's work to senior executives.

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, consumer insights, data science teams, and legal to build highly impactful products.

  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to continuously iterate and refine the user experience.

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience developing consumer products, with a focus on user trust, transparency, and privacy.

  • Experience leading products that require balancing consumer, legal, and business trade-offs.

  • Strong familiarity with privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for consumer data collection and consent.

  • Ability to drive experimentation and leverage data insights to optimize and grow user engagement with privacy controls.

  • Strong business acumen with proficiency in identifying, tracking, and acting upon key metrics.

  • Experience leading end-to-end product development with a relentless focus on delivering intuitive, seamless, and visually compelling user experiences.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • 8+ years of product management experience.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of privacy and data transparency at Netflix, ensuring our products are built with a consumer-first mindset while supporting business objectives. If you are passionate about building trust-driven experiences and setting the foundation for privacy innovation, we’d love to hear from you!
