Housekeeper

Position: Housekeeper, House Manager, Pet Sitter, Assist Grounds keeper We are seeking a mature, organized, and professional individual with enthusiasm and a strong sense of pride in their work to join our household. The ideal candidate will possess a caring and nurturing disposition, particularly towards animals. This role encompasses comprehensive housekeeping, including maintaining the organization of a large residence, managing laundry, and clean up after meals. While a professional cleaning team handles deep cleaning, the successful candidate will be responsible for daily upkeep and maintaining overall order. Our family does not operates on a typical 9-to-5 work week, so our lives often necessitate flexibility; therefore, the ability to adapt to last-minute changes is crucial. We seek a proactive self-starter who can anticipate needs and readily assist with various tasks. As we frequently travel, a significant aspect of this role involves providing loving care and attention to our three dogs during our absences. Our country home, situated on a magnificent 40-acre horse farm and healing center, is occupied approximately one-third 1/2 of our he time. We welcome occasional visits from our five adult children, their friends, and partners. We are deeply interested in learning about diverse cultures, including their culinary traditions, customs, ideas, music, and spiritual practices. We maintain a strong work ethic and expect the same from our hired team members. Our goal is to find an individual who can contribute to making our demanding and busy lives more manageable, and with whom we can share our healthy lifestyle habits. The property offers a unique environment, featuring a running stream, abundant wildlife, and a well-equipped yoga/sound healing studio and gym where workshops are occasionally held. We maintain an alcohol-free and non-smoking household. The location is approximately 1.25 hours from NYC via rail. Additional responsibilities also include providing assistance to our groundskeeper, ordering supplies , coordinating schedule of service providers, performing general chores and errands, and harvesting from of our organic garden and orchard. Essential qualities include strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to independently identify and address tasks. We embrace a healthy lifestyle, including regular yoga and immersion in nature, which we are keen to share. Dedicated care for our three beloved dogs during our travels is paramount and comfortable around horses. We provide a fully furnished, large 1 bedroom sunlit apartment with kitchenette steps from the main house.
