Our diverse and skilled mechanical team is currently searching for an innovative and hardworking Plumbing Detailer . Candidate must be efficient with AutoCAD, Revit and have over 10 years’ experience.
Responsibilities for Plumbing Detailer :
- Coordinate with Foreman on Change-orders and make Plumbing Detail changes.
- Create detailed plumbing system drawings.
- Explain design-intent on AutoCAD drawings.
- Work with teams and independently as well.
- Ensure deadlines are met.
- Communicate design issues and problems with the project manager and the client’s representatives as needed.
- Design and layout engineering drawings within Plumbing specialty and plumbing code.
- Design Plumbing systems including sanitary waste, vent, storm, gas systems, and domestic water distribution systems.
- Designs, selects, schedules, sizes and specifies basic Plumbing system components to include plumbing fixtures, drains, and equipment based on Cal green and plumbing code.
- Follow department work processes and design standards.
Requirements for Plumbing Detailer :
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in related field with 2+ years’ experience designing plumbing systems using AutoCAD, OR have a minimum of 5 years’ experience designing plumbing systems for multiple family residential building using AutoCAD.
- Requires a self-motivated worker with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Unified Plumbing Code, California Plumbing Code, uniform building codes, and ASPE standards.
- Knowledge of specs, submittals, and RFI’s is preferred.
- Must be able to detail/draw ISO drawings.
Preferred:
- Journeyman level knowledge of plumbing systems preferred.
- Knowledge of Plumbing Code is preferred.
- Stable work history.
- Local to the San Diego Area.
