Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Manager I, the incumbent is responsible for administrative tasks for the Human Resources Office. The incumbent will be accountable for ensuring customer satisfaction and quality services to meet customer needs.

Special Requirements

School Transcripts:

When using education to qualify, unofficial transcripts must be submitted. Applicants with foreign transcripts must provide a transcript evaluation that indicates the number of units to which the foreign course work is equivalent. If selected for appointment, official transcripts will be required.

A copy of a typing certificate issued within the last two (2) years must be attached to the application package and the original will be required at the interview.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a customer service setting.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Be proficient with common computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

    The SOQ should also document each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The SOQ must be typewritten and single spaced, use no less than 12-point font, and be no more than two pages in length.
