Principal Observability Product Owner - Remote | WFH
Work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain strategic roadmaps that guide the ongoing evolution of observability solutions.
Explore opportunities to integrate third-party systems into the observability platform to enhance situational awareness and provide better insights into system performance.
Engage with strategic vendors to ensure their solutions meet monitoring and observability requirements.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of observability and monitoring principles, staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field.
Collaborate with the Major Program Dependency Office to ensure monitoring and observability are embedded in all key programs and projects.
Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize monitoring needs and ensure all requirements are addressed.
Identify and manage risks associated with the introduction of new technologies and ensure compliance with IT governance policies.
Develop proof-of-concept solutions and prototypes to demonstrate potential observability capabilities.
Partner with the Monitoring & Observability Product Specialist to ensure alignment between the architecture, design, proof of concept/prototype development, and tactical roadmaps.
Work closely with delivery and operations teams to ensure that strategic observability requirements are accounted for in the tactical execution of monitoring and observability efforts. Required Skills and Experience: 12+ years of technical experience, with at least 7+ years in the Monitoring & Observability domain.
Expertise in Infrastructure Observability (7+ years of experience).
Expertise in Application Observability (7+ years of experience).
Experience in integrating third-party solutions into Monitoring & Observability platforms.
Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools/technologies, including server and storage infrastructure monitoring.
Proven ability to develop Business KPIs for effective monitoring. Additional Requirements: This position requires a clear background check, drug test, and education verification.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.
Principal-level position (No Corp-to-Corp arrangements).
