Backend Software Engineer, AI/LLM for AI Voice Agent - San Francisco

As a Backend Software Engineer for AI Voice Agent, you will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and operation of business-critical AI features. Previous experience with backend engineering is a must as well as a knowledge of LLMs and system prompting.

Your Responsibilities @ Aircall:

• Participate in requirements analysis to help with providing the right technical and business solutions for our customers
• Propose innovative solutions based on AI landscape trends
• Have key responsibilities within the design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of AI key modules
• Write clean scalable code and test and deploy applications and systems
• Revise, update, refactor, and debug code
• Be part of an engineering organization delivering high quality, secure, voice solutions to Aircall clients
• Involvement in product and platform performance optimization and live site monitoring
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical system issues and ensure continuous system reliability

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in back-end software engineering
• Demonstrated programming experience with LLMs (e.g., system prompting, prompt engineering, tool use)
• Strong nice-to-have: Expert proficiency in Python or Typescript/Node.js and AWS

$130,000 - $220,000 a year

This is not including equity and other benefits. The actual salary offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
