Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Facilities Services Specialist at our Palo Alto, CA location to bring innovative design and planning skills to each project to ensure that SAP Americas’ workspaces are best in class.
Expectations and Tasks:
Oversee architectural design vendors on larger office projects, as well as directly plan and design smaller projects. Drive all planning and design aspects of assigned projects, from scope and budget finalization to oversight of schematic planning, design development and FFE (furniture, finish, equipment) selection provided by architectural interiors firms, then review of CDs and shop drawings, through to project completion. Prepare space plans, develop design, and specify FFE. Ensure that all projects meet SAP’s design/build criteria, through detailed review of all design development plans and documents, architectural/engineering drawings, lease work letters, project charters, specifications. Assist PM with development of and adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and value engineering exercises. Coordinate with Project Manager, IT, Global Procurement, Security, Project Logistics team, A&E consultants, furniture dealers and all other relevant vendors and consultants. Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders for all assigned projects. Support the Change Management process on all relevant projects. Research and share knowledge of industry best practices and workplace trends.
Education and Occupational Experience :
Bachelor ’s degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field of study and five (5)years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively , a Master ’s degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field of study and three (3)years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience :
Experience must include three (3) years involving each of the following:
Utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, or Sketchup;
Project Management (construction and other);
Global Procurement process;
Commercial Furniture & finishes; and
Interior design in corporate environment.

Compensation Range Transparency : The annual base salary range for this position is 137,862 - $147,960. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $137,862 - $164,400 . The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
