Incumbents are responsible for security and control of incarcerated persons/wards using library services. These duties include maintaining order and supervising the conduct of persons committed to the Department of Corrections and the Department of the Youth Authority; preventing escapes and injury by these persons to themselves or to property; maintaining security of work areas and work materials; and inspecting premises for contraband, such as weapons or illegal drugs.Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
