Primary Purpose:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is to process Univar Solutions vendor invoices in accordance with Univar and AP policy and procedures. This position has a significant amount of data entry with the primary responsibility of receiving and processing various types of invoices (PO, non-PO, special handling), ensuring complete accuracy of all required documentation, before posting invoices to be paid. Works collaboratively in a team environment as a part of the Financial Shared Services group.

What you will do:

• Responsible for high volume daily input of electronic invoices through electronic invoicing platform for our Expense & Freight Team
• Use Univar systems to research and resolve problem invoices and prepare them for processing.
• Identifies and communicates unresolved discrepancies (as directed) to AP Manager, including Time-Outs and non-responses from other Univar departments and locations.
• Processes rush invoices from Vendor Contact Center according to established procedure.
• Ensures policies and procedures are followed to support organizational and Accounts payable requirements.
• Collaborates with field and internal customers to resolve various issues • Performs other related duties as required or requested.

What you will need:

• Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
• Ability to manage workload to a deadline
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High volume data entry
• Attention to detail
• Cross functional team collaboration
• Ability to prioritize workload
• Excellent customer service (internal & external).
• 2 year business/finance/accounting degree or equivalent experience a plus.

Dublin, OH hybrid 3x a week in office
