Commercial Property Bookkeeper
Job Summary
A Commercial Property Bookkeeper is needed for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-established commercial real estate organization in Lafayette, CA. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands-on bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and supporting the financial operations of multiple commercial properties. Key Responsibilities - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions for commercial property operations.- Collect, post, and track rent payments while maintaining accurate tenant and accounting records.
- Code, review, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper expense allocation.
- Perform bank reconciliations, expense reconciliations, and general ledger support activities.
- Generate invoices, update Excel spreadsheets, and assist with financial tracking for multiple properties.
- Support CAM reconciliations, utility reconciliations, and other property accounting functions. Compensation and Benefits - Pay: $27 to $31 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations for a portfolio of commercial properties.- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, rent posting, invoice coding, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, spreadsheets, and general ledger support documentation.
- Assist with CAM, utility, bank, and expense reconciliation processes. - 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable experience.
- Experience performing reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheet management.
- Experience using accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative team environment.
- Bookkeeping, Accounting Clerk, or Accounting Specialist experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in property management accounting or commercial real estate accounting.
- Sage 300 experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
