Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Templeton sits in the heart of California’s Central Coast, delivering a rare blend of small-town charm and access to outdoor adventure, farm-to-table dining, and easy drives to nearby wine country and coastal escapes. The area offers a welcoming community that values skilled, compassionate care, making it an ideal environment for travel nurses who thrive on patient-centered practice and collaborative teamwork. For those who love exploring new places, the opportunity to rotate to additional U.S. locations means you’ll experience diverse hospital cultures, catch unique clinical challenges, and build a versatile résumé that highlights adaptability, leadership, and clinical excellence. Enjoy dependable housing options, weekly stipends, and a dedicated travel team that coordinates logistics and provides ongoing support from your first day onward. A robust network of clinical educators and mentors awaits to help you refine practice, earn certifications, and advance quickly within the specialty. Role Specifics and Benefits
As an L&D RN on a travel assignment, you’ll have the chance to refine every facet of labor, delivery, and newborn care while advancing personally and professionally. Key responsibilities include:
- Assess labor progress, monitor fetal well-being, and respond to evolving obstetric situations with timely, evidence-based interventions.
- Provide expert support for analgesia and anesthesia options, assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and lead ongoing postpartum care, lactation support, and newborn assessment.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia teams, nursery staff, and ancillary services to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centered care from admission through discharge.
- Manage accurate, comprehensive documentation in the electronic health record, coordinate care plans, and advocate for patient education on birth plans, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postnatal recovery.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement, adherence to infection control protocols, and adherence to best-practice guidelines to promote optimal maternal and neonatal outcomes.
- Mentor and support less-experienced team members, participate in on-call coverage as appropriate, and contribute to a positive, learning-forward unit culture. Professional growth opportunities are a hallmark of this role. You’ll have access to specialty certifications, leadership development tracks, and hands-on experiences across a spectrum of obstetric settings. The program emphasizes advancement within the field, with pathways to expand scope, teach others, and take on greater responsibility as you demonstrate clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassionate patient care. Benefits include:
- Competitive weekly pay in your stated range, with potential for enhanced incentives based on performance and assignment length.
- A bonus package designed to recognize dedication and successful assignment completion.
- Housing assistance to ease transitions, with options aligned to your preferences and location.
- Extension opportunities to continue your impact with trusted teams beyond the initial term.
- Comprehensive support services, including 24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, ensuring timely issue resolution, credentialing help, and seamless logistics. Company Values
