Senior/Staff Backend Engineer

About the Role

We're Roger Healthcare (), building AI-powered clinical documentation for home-based healthcare. We give overworked clinicians their evenings and weekends back and raise the standard of elder care.

We’re off to industry-leading growth, are backed by world-class investors, constantly shipping new products, and are looking for a talented Senior/Staff Backend Engineer to lead development of backend services and infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Ship complex, 0-1 products and features using FastAPI and MongoDB/Postgres

• Build APIs and services that interface with LLMs and other AI models

• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development

• Be adept at shipping quick MVPs AND building scalable, robust systems

• Working knowledge of Docker and AWS cloud infra preferred

• Own backend-side technical architecture and drive code quality improvements

• Be primarily an IC day-to-day rather than a manager

• Collaborate with other senior engineers and mentor junior engineers
