Job Summary:

The Space & Airborne Center seeks talented Systems Engineers. Our Systems Integration & Test team members located in El Segundo CA integrate hardware and software develop test plans and procedures debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put systems together exercise them in the lab or in the field measure and analyze performance and make sure our products work the first time and every time. Every day is a different set of challenges to overcome. Youll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement this role youll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts. You may interface with customers to develop CONOPS system architecture system requirements and manage qualification verification and validation.

You may support Radar Mode requirement development engineering testing integration and flight-testing production system deployment and post deployment support across the product lifecycle.

This position is an onsite role i n El Segundo CA . Test event support activity may require travel which is not expected to exceed 10%.

What You Will Do:

• Support planning and execution of Integration Verification or Troubleshoot Test activities in our labs in the field or at a Depot facility
• Support activity may require travel
• Support qualification of our products
• Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
• Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations including the use of analysis tools such as MATLAB
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
• Perform root-cause analysis & implement minor design changes
• Maintain engineering specifications (DS ARD etc.) & drawings (Schematics & Assembly Drawings)
• Maintain engineering databases
• Coordinate engineering tag up and meetings between the Program Systems Engineering and Chief Engineer
• Resolve and coordinate system technical solutions with Engineering teams
• Provide technical guidance and support to Engineering Integrated Product Team Leads
• Participate in periodic team meetings interface teleconference meetings working group meetings
• Support associated with implementing process requirements
• Support for mockup hardware repairs
• Sustainment/Depot returns and repair

What You Will Learn:

After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training the candidate will be a part of a team supporting Systems Engineering Systems Integration & Test activities across the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
• This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office MATLAB or Python for data analysis and automation
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope spectrum analyzer etc.)

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with or exposure to various military platforms for weapons conveyance such as ships ground combat systems fixed and rotary wing aircraft
• Experience using telemetry data collection equipment to capture real time data and/or real time monitoring
• Experience with electrical schematics interface control documentation and communications protocols
• Experience with reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C/C# preferred
• Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis

The salary range for this role is 62000 USD - 118000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
