Braided Day Job Coach

Achievement House, located in the beautiful San Luis Obispo area, is dedicated to empowering individuals and supporting their personal and vocational growth. As a Braided Day Job Coach, you will play a vital role in helping adults with developmental disabilities achieve greater independence and success. This position offers a unique blend of vocational support and community involvement, with clients spending part of their day working in a program and the remainder participating in community activities or classes at Cuesta College. Responsibilities

• Provide direct vocational support and training to individuals, focusing on skill development and workplace success.
• Ensure all services comply with applicable state and federal regulations.
• Uphold and advocate for the rights, needs, and well-being of individuals served.
• Follow company programs, practices, and policies related to program and client management.
• Promptly report any suspected incidents of abuse, neglect, or sexual assault.
• Conduct safety meetings and drills, maintaining accurate records as required.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork by established deadlines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitized environment in accordance with Department of Health standards.
• Monitor contract requirements to ensure quality workmanship and meet customer expectations.
• Assist individuals with coordinating transportation to and from job sites.
• Foster a courteous, positive, and professional atmosphere while interacting with individuals and the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license, access to a personal vehicle, and ongoing proof of state-required auto insurance.
• Ability to drive as part of job duties.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Ability to successfully complete First Aid and CPR training.
• Strong English oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Compensation

$23 per hour plus a $250 hiring bonus .
