Wait Staff - Mornings
We are seeking personable, efficient wait staff to attend to our patrons at our legacy family restaurant, Tuesday through Sunday, available to work 10am to 5pm. Candidates should be interested in long‑term employment and eager to learn and grow with the company. Salary is minimum wage plus tips average $20 to $25 depending on customer service skills and attention to detail.
Experience is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years of serving experience. Compensation based on minimum wage, plus certifications, and tips earned through excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working in a Mexican “mom and pop” restaurant.
- Knowledge of Mexican food.
- Food Handler or Manager Certification.
- Proven experience working as a server.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to follow directions, work well in a team, and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare tables, greet guests warmly, and seat customers.
- Make menu recommendations.
- Take orders for dine‑in, takeout, phone, and tablet platforms.
- Deliver food and beverages and process payments accurately.
- Maintain service areas clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Package phone, takeout, and tablet orders.
- Assist with mobile orders, sales, pop‑up and private events.

- Work well in a team and deliver excellent customer service.
- Take orders in Spanish or English to support guests who prefer their primary language.
- Be efficient, solve problems, learn quickly, multitask, work well under pressure, and meet physical demands of the role.
- Ensure every customer feels appreciated.
We are a family owned and operated Mexican restaurant since 1982. We are considered a San Pedro Landmark; we are currently the oldest Mexican restaurant owned by the original family. We take pride in our original recipes, Al Pastor Meat and Signature Dishes.
