Dental Assistant
Kali Smiles Kids in Pleasant Hill, CA is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a dental setting, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and surgeries
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Perform dental charting, documentation, and recordkeeping
- Provide chair-side assistance for various dental procedures (fillings, crown and bridge work, extractions, & root canals)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in dental assisting from an accredited program is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Current CPR certification
- Proficient in taking dental X-rays and dental charting
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Detail-oriented and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Must have infectious disease control certification
- Proficient in dental software and computer skills
