Totally Kids Specialty Healthcare is a small pediatric sub-acute hospital with 45 patients. We are the ONLY long-term care hospital dedicated entirely to children. Our residents' ages range from newborn to 21 years of age, and we are dedicated to enriching the health and quality of life for our kids. We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to become a part of our facility's compassionate caregiving family.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current California Driver’s License.
• Must possess a current BLSC/CPR certification at all times.

Duties Summary:

• Ensure completion of the duties and tasks as outlined in the maintenance policy and procedure manual.
• Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of maintenance staff through scheduling, quarterly and annual evaluations, and disciplinary measures.
• Ensure completion of upkeep to the grounds, buildings, fixtures, medical equipment and utility systems as required.
• Ensure completion of periodic safety inspections of all areas of the campus and report the findings, and their corrections to the Safety Committee.
• Ensure completion of and/or schedule required maintenance to vehicles owned and operated by the facility.
• Maintain a record of all repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks completed.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to crouch /stoop as required.
• Lifting Requirements: Must be capable of lifting or carrying objects that weigh up to 45 pounds.
• Must be able to discern colors.
• Physical skills necessary to operate all equipment: must be able to stand, reach in all directions, lift and carry objects. Must have fine motor skills.
• Must have 20/20 vision (correction devices allowed) and be able to appropriately read patient information, posted materials and other written information.
• Must hear (correctional devices allowed) and comprehend well enough to give and receive information for appropriate completion of duties.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and listen in English with a skill level essential for communication in a sub-acute facility.
• Must have normal physical stamina.
• Must be able to pull or push 100 pounds.
• Must be able to bend and twist.
• Must have full use of both hands.
• Must be able to walk intermittently, six to ten hours per shift.

Additional Requirements:

• Will be required to be on call 24 hours/7 days and will be required to respond to a call within ten minutes of initial call. Will also be responsible to report any required maintenance of the call to the director immediately.
• Maintenance personal will be required to attend all in-services as required by Totally Kids Specialty Healthcare Inc. - SVSH policy.
• Should the maintenance person need any time off for any specific reason (personal or otherwise), it shall be requested with a minimum of seven days’ notice. Emergencies will be dealt with as according to Totally Kids Specialty Healthcare Inc. - SVSH policy.
• At all times, Maintenance personnel will perform all duties in strict accordance with the policies and procedures as described in the facility’s Safety and Health program.
