Line Cook Position:

Location: Lalla Grill Del Monte and Lalla Oceanside (need positions filled at both locations)

Job Type: Part Time & Full-Time Availability.

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week.

Pay: $21–$23 per hour + tips included.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates who do not meet the minimum will NOT be considered.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional kitchen experience.
  • Prior experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Formal culinary training is preferred.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish; English proficiency preferred.
  • Strong cooking skills with excellent time management and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Valid Food Handler Card required shortly after hiring.

Key Responsibilities:

Culinary & Kitchen Operations:

  • Execute food preparation and cooking on designated line stations.
  • Maintain consistent portioning, flavor, and presentation for every dish.
  • Follow recipes, prep lists, and kitchen procedures accurately.
  • Complete daily prep and keep stations fully stocked before service.
  • Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards at all times.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and FOH when needed.
  • Coordinate timing on tickets to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Support fellow cooks and kitchen staff during rush periods.
  • Assist in training new team members when assigned.
  • Contribute to a respectful, positive, team-oriented environment.

Professionalism & Problem Solving:

  • Stay calm and efficient during peak hours.
  • Adapt quickly when workload or station demands shift.
  • Address concerns about food quality or safety promptly.
  • Uphold Lalla Grill’s high standards at all times.

Schedule:

  • 8–10 hour shifts.
  • Day shifts required.
  • Weekends and holidays required.

  • Capacidad para trabajar de manera eficiente bajo presión.
  • Se requiere tarjeta de Manipulador de Alimentos poco después de ser contratado.

Estamos buscando un Cocinero de Línea con experiencia que pueda mantener el ritmo en una línea ocupada, garantizar consistencia y contribuir a un ambiente de cocina positivo y orientado al trabajo en equipo. Responsabilidades Principales: Operaciones Culinarias y de Cocina:

  • Preparar y cocinar los platillos en las estaciones asignadas.
  • Mantener porciones, sabor y presentación consistentes en cada platillo.
  • Seguir recetas, listas de preparación y procedimientos de cocina con precisión.
  • Completar la preparación diaria y mantener las estaciones abastecidas antes del servicio.
  • Mantener estándares de limpieza, seguridad y saneamiento en todo momento.
  • Limpiar y mantener el equipo y las áreas de trabajo.

Trabajo en Equipo y Comunicación:

  • Comunicarse claramente con el equipo de cocina y FOH cuando sea necesario.
  • Coordinar tiempos de los tickets para asegurar un flujo de servicio eficiente.
  • Apoyar a los compañeros de cocina durante los periodos de mayor actividad.
  • Ayudar a entrenar a nuevos miembros del equipo cuando se le asigne.
  • Contribuir a un ambiente positivo, respetuoso y orientado al trabajo en equipo.

Profesionalismo y Resolución de Problemas:

  • Mantener la calma y eficiencia durante horas de alta demanda.
  • Adaptarse rápidamente cuando cambian las necesidades de la estación o la carga de trabajo.

Horario:

  • Turnos de 8–10 horas.
  • Se requieren turnos de día.
  • Se requiere disponibilidad los fines de semana y días festivos.
