Physical Therapist - Travel Contract
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join our traveling Physical Therapist team in Morgan Hill, CA working in an outpatient setting. You will evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services, and design functional programs to support patients returning to community activities. You will document care accurately and timely, participate in student education as assigned, pursue professional development, and adhere to state practice acts and organizational policies. Patient and employee safety is prioritized through safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace safety practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active California physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- No new graduates. Minimum clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy required.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessment, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to provide supervision and direction for students and other therapy staff as assigned.
- Maintain required state-mandated continuing education and compliance with discipline-specific practice act.
Preferred Qualifications
- Outpatient physical therapy experience with diverse patient populations.
- Experience with performance improvement initiatives and documentation systems used in outpatient clinics.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.
- 40 hours per week.
- May be required to follow clinic guidelines for appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
