THE APPLE PAN SEEKS ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER 

Iconic Westwood diner The Apple Pan is seeking a Restaurant Manager to assist in overseeing daily operations. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic leader to take responsibility of a legendary LA restaurant and assist in building our take-out and delivery service. The ideal candidate must possess at least 3 years prior management experience and have a natural drive to go above and beyond. Candidates should have a passion for excellence and a knack for authentically building and maintaining guest relationships. Fluency in English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily FOH operations to ensure excellence in service, hospitality and food quality
• Provide effective leadership for FOH and BOH team by being engaged in daily operations, providing direction and support to achieve goals
• Provide a positive work environment for staff members by giving them the tools they need to be successful with open, honest and direct communication
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and perform needed repairs

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years management experience in a full-service, high-volume, fast-casual restaurant, and have a valid food handler’s license or ServSafe certification
• Proven organizational skills and the ability to implement systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective operations
• Outstanding leadership, dynamic personality and the passion to create a culture rooted in hospitality
• Professional maturity, sense of urgency and the constant desire to achieve excellence

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required

• Proficiency in computer skills, POS systems, scheduling, ordering and accounting platforms
• Must have AM/PM/Holiday availability

On April 11th, 1947, husband and wife duo Ellen and Allan Baker first opened the doors to The Apple Pan. The tiny, 26-seat diner, with its distinct U-shaped counter and cozy plaid walls, would go on to become a legendary neighborhood staple, feeding hungry diners for over 70 years. Now, generations later, The Apple Pan still proudly upholds the Baker’s motto “Quality Forever,” with every slice of fresh pie and made-to-order burger served from across our iconic counter.
