Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist specialized in inpatient care at a hospital setting in Crescent City, California. The position focuses on acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient rehabilitation services. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive physical therapy assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and supervise clinical staff and students. Candidates are required to bring their California Physical Therapist License on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Crescent City, California
• Schedule: Friday through Tuesday, with shifts lasting 8 hours and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: CA Physical Therapist License, BLS Certification, Graduate of an accredited physical therapy graduate program, 0 years of experience required, ability to work in the specified location.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic health records system and inpatient therapy settings.
• Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, alleviate pain, and correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
  • Complete and document patient evaluations and tests, develop and update patient Plans of Care (POC), and progress treatments accordingly.
  • Provide clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serve as a clinical instructor for students.
  • Ensure compliance with all privacy, safety, and regulatory standards, including documentation and charge capture.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Certifications and Licenses: CA Physical Therapist License, BLS Certification.
• Vaccinations: COVID-19 Vaccine, Flu Vaccine.
• Submissions: Must submit two references obtained within the last year, an up-to-date Nursys license, and applicable certifications with valid expiration dates.
