Compensation: $180,000 - $275,000 + equity

What will you do?

• Serve as a forward-deployed engineer across our portfolio companiesrotating through 12 month sprints.

• Build full-stack features end-to-endwhether its payment infrastructure, dev tools, internal dashboards, or customer-facing experiences.

• Own the tech roadmap and execution in lean environments with limited resourcesno hand-holding, no waiting on PMs.

• Dive into unfamiliar codebases, legacy systems, and unusual tech stacksanything from PHP and C# to modern JS frameworks and AI tooling.

• Contribute to shared services (e.g., SEO tooling, analytics dashboards, sales systems) used across the portfolio.

• Drive ROI-based engineering decisions rooted in business context, not tech buzzwords.

What will you need?

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in VC-backed startups from Seed to Series C.

• Comfortable working full-stack (20/80 frontend/backend split or vice versa).

• Tech stack agnostic: you can learn and deliver in any environmentReact, Node, Python, C#, PHP, doesnt matter.

• Experience working without a product manager or designerjust raw specs and your brain.

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent foundational training (Top CS programs a plusWaterloo, U of T, UT Austin, etc.).

• Strong business intuition: you care about ROI, not just code quality.

• Adaptability and humility: no task is too small if it unblocks a teammate or drives business value.

Not a fit if...

• Youre deeply specialized (e.g., pure ML engineer or only frontend dev).

• Youve only worked at big tech and prefer structured orgs.

• You need mature tooling and crystal-clear requirements to get started.

• Youd rather polish code than ship imperfect-but-impactful solutions.

This is a high-agency, high-velocity role for builders who want to get their hands dirty, ship fast, and learn how to run great software companies.
