Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, analyzing financial information, and other various daily operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Prepare journal entries.
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
- Assist with financial statement analysis, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare quarterly financial reports for the Parent Company.
- Assist in managing the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable.
- Assist with identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Assist with performing research on new accounting regulations that may impact the company.
- Assist with processing vendor invoices and prepare vendor payments.
- Prepare supporting schedules for quarterly reviews and audits.
- Support quarterly review and year-end audit process.
- Support internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Supervise Accounting staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS Accounting - Possess and use a sound understanding of GAAP accounting principles. Advanced Math - Able to use basic mathematical and algebraic processes such as fractions, ratios, equations, and proportions. Communication - Able to communicate clearly with individuals & groups either orally or in writing; conveys & shares information to & with co-workers as needed. Able to write speeches or reports, prepare & deliver presentations to management, customers or industry groups. Judgment - Developing courses of action and making sound and mature business decisions based on information, logic, experience, and intuition. Analytical and business-oriented judgement. Multi-tasking - Able to work in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment on multiple tasks systematically and manageably. Overtime (weekend) required during Quarter Closing. Reliability - Able to meet commitments; work output is consistently high and with low-error rate; is dependable, punctual, and resourceful. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE - At least six years of experience in accounting, with a mix of public audit and industry experience preferred.
- Some supervisory experience.
- Advanced excel skills, mathematical problem resolution, and organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - CPA or CMA certification highly preferred.
