Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience for a travel contract serving home health patients in the Sacramento, CA area.

Details

• Home health setting serving the Sacramento area, with possible travel to surrounding counties as needed
• Patient population includes general home health, wound care, and geriatric cases
• Minimum of 23–24 patient visits per week expected
• Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5x8s); no weekends required
• On-call is discretionary and not required
• Charting system: Kinnser/WellSky; all charting must be completed on-site and cannot be taken home
• Mileage is reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient (excludes home-to-first and last-to-home travel)
• Contract length is 4–6 months; less experienced clinicians are required to commit to a 6-month contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years of overall clinical experience as a PT required
• Current PT state license in hand at time of consideration required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• No hits or encumbrances on license
• Must be a self-starter with strong time management and charting completion skills
• Must be comfortable working independently in a home health setting across multiple counties

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the service area are considered local
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; no additional RTO will be accepted after an offer is made
• A tablet is provided by the organization for on-site charting
• Any color scrubs and closed-toe shoes are required
• COVID-19 vaccination is required; religious declinations are accepted
• Flu vaccination declination is accepted with a signed declination form
• Compliance documentation must be completed before patient care can begin, which may take 2–3 weeks
• Hiring process includes a phone interview with the hiring team prior to any offer being made
