Staff Product Manager - Transformations

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to evolve Transformations and Orchestration—a critical pillar of our Enterprise Platform group. In this role, you will help our customers unlock more value from their data by streamlining how transformations are built, orchestrated, and automated with Fivetran. You'll focus on evolving our dbt Transformations and Quickstart data model offerings while shaping the orchestration experience that ties the entire pipeline together.

We’re looking for someone who can bring AI-native thinking to how our platform evolves—whether it’s in accelerating transformation development, enabling intelligent orchestration, or expanding how customers programmatically build with Fivetran.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You’ll Do

• Own and evolve the Transformations product area: dbt-powered Transformations, Quickstart experiences, orchestration workflows, and external integrations.


• Develop a strategic roadmap that expands how customers operationalize transformations within Fivetran, with a focus on simplicity, reliability, and enterprise-scale orchestration.


• Partner closely with engineering and design to deliver intuitive experiences for customers to define, manage, and monitor transformations—while seamlessly integrating with their broader data stack.


• Prioritize product investments based on revenue-weighted feature usage, customer feedback, support trends, and alignment with adjacent platform teams (Connectors, Monitoring, APIs).


• Serve as a subject matter expert for transformations and orchestration across Fivetran and champion platform consistency in user experience and technical implementation.


• Drive cross-functional alignment and go-to-market readiness for major product launches.


• Stay on the pulse of trends in data orchestration, transformation tooling, and developer platforms—with an eye toward AI-first opportunities.

Skills We’re Looking For

• Product management experience in B2B SaaS or platform products


• Demonstrated success leading technical products in the data ecosystem (ETL/ELT, dbt, or orchestration tools)


• Strong technical fluency—comfortable working with SQL, transformation workflows, APIs, and developer-focused platforms


• Proven collaboration skills across Engineering, Design, Support, and GTM


• Data-informed mindset with experience using both qualitative and quantitative inputs to drive prioritization


• Ability to execute cross-functionally in a high-growth, fast-paced environment

Bonus Skills

• Experience with dbt, orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect), or data transformation frameworks


• Familiarity with developer workflows, CI/CD, or automation platforms
  Background in data integration, analytics engineering, or developer platforms
