Social Media Associate
:
Are you passionate about connecting people to arts and culture through social media? Rhythmix Cultural Works is seeking a rock star Social Media Associate to join our team. You will work closely with the Executive Director to monitor Rhythmix's digital media presence; creating engaging content and connecting with the audience on Rhythmix's social media platforms. This position requires keen attention to detail, the ability to strategize creatively and collaboratively, great organizational skills and an ability to create a welcome and inclusive online environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Social Media
- Develop and implement effective social media campaigns on FB and IG for events, fundraisers, classes and overall brand awareness
- Plan and maintain a calendar for social media content (posts, FB Events, FB/IG Stories & ads, etcÂ…)
- Generate digital content adhering to Rhythmix brand guidelines using Canva, Adobe Creative Suites, and/or assets provided by RCW staff
- Work with directors to set goals to increase followers/engagement across platforms
- Monitor and engage with the Rhythmix online community by responding to comments and direct messages in a timely manner, forwarding information to the appropriate RCW staff when needed
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and/or weekends at Rhythmix events to capture and produce media content
- Assist with additional tasks as needed
Digital Advertising
- Create and monitor FB/IG ads and boosted posts for all revenue generating events
- Create, update and delete Google ads for each event and other campaigns (fundraisers, rental programs, general brand advertising) as needed
- Download and file digital ad invoices for accounting
Analytics
- Review advertising and post engagement data, making improvements as needed
- Provide monthly analytic reports to gauge post/ad/campaign effectiveness

- Knowledge and experience in building online presence with a desire and ability to forge new connections and deepen existing digital community relationships.
- Strong interpersonal, public relations, communications and writing skills.
- Be a self-starter, highly organized and able to work independently. Able to follow through on tasks and goals.
- Demonstrate self-confidence, a positive attitude, concern for people and community, and have good listening skills.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years minimum experience in digital and social media working with Instagram, Facebook and Google AdWords (including analytic features), Hootsuite, Canva and/or Photoshop. Experience with Mailchimp, or other newsletter builder, is a plus.
- Strong computer literacy with MS Office 365 Suite (OneDrive, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Salary/Benefits:
- P/T: 10 hrs per week, including some weeknights and weekends
- Pay Rate: $20-22/hr
- Benefits: Sick Leave; Flex Hours; Remote Flexibility
