Meat Carver Position at high-end Brazilian Steak House ESPETUS
We're looking for a fun, energetic, hard-working team player to joining us at Espetus.
Must speak English and have customer service experience!
Your duties will include:
- Walk to the tables and cut the meat tableside for the customers
- Prepare and cook special cuts of meats according to traditional Brazilian "churrasco" recipes.
- Season and grill food according to the prescribed traditional method and to guests' specific requests.
- Portion, garnish and present to patrons in the style of Brazilian "gaucho."
- Answer guests' questions concerning "churrasco"-style food and represent and convey Brazilian "gaucho" culture and demeanor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grill area.
- Complete any beginning or closing shift duties.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work at a quick pace.
- Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
- Previous experience as a meat-carver and/or in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Must be able to work overtime if required.
- Required: food safety certification (able to earn upon hire)
- Must be 18 years of age or older or in accordance with state law
- Must maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate teamwork.
