About EBALDC
East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building healthy, vibrant, and safe neighborhoods across the East Bay. Through high-quality affordable housing, resident services, and community development, we work at the intersection of housing stability, health, and economic opportunity.
Our communities are diverse, resilient, and deeply rooted—and our work is grounded in the belief that housing is just the beginning. Lasting impact comes from connection, access to resources, and opportunities for residents to thrive.
Language & Community Focus (Required)
This role serves a large Chinese-speaking resident population. Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is required to effectively support residents, build trust, and deliver services.

As a Resident Services & Wellness Coordinator, you will play a direct role in supporting residents’ day-to-day well-being and long-term stability. This is a highly relational, community-based role where you will build trust, connect residents to critical resources, and create programs that support health, independence, and engagement.
You’ll help residents navigate challenges, access services, and participate in programs that strengthen both individual outcomes and the broader community. This role is ideal for someone who is people-centered, resourceful, and energized by working in community.
Compensation
Hourly Range: $24.00 – $28.00 DOE
Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and internal equity. EBALDC offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.
What You’ll Do
- Provide one-on-one resident support, referrals, and service coordination
- Connect residents to healthcare, food access, financial assistance, and public benefits
- Plan and lead community programs, workshops, and engagement activities
- Coordinate wellness initiatives (health education, fitness, aging support)
- Track participation, maintain documentation, and support reporting
- Partner with Property Management and community providers
A Day in the Life
You’ll check in with residents, coordinate programs, and connect people to resources. Some days include hosting wellness activities or community events; others focus on follow-ups, documentation, and planning. Every day centers on building trust and supporting residents to thrive.
What You Bring
- Experience in human services, public health, or community-based work (or equivalent)
- Experience working with diverse communities; seniors or affordable housing preferred
- Fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin (required)
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality

• Regular resident interaction; occasional evenings/weekends
- Experience working with seniors, families, or affordable housing communities
- Familiarity with public benefits and community resource systems
- Onsite at an EBALDC property with regular resident interaction
