Process Engineer (Cypress)

Location: Cypress, California
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Frequency: Full-time
Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities:
- Improve shop condition using the 6S methodology.
- Take care of the clutter and organize appearance.
- Define and implement standard to keep the shop clean.
- Improve tooling management process:
- Do a review of the LGB's tooling carts to ensure the inventory lists are accurate.
- Review Equipment
- Review of the equipment throughout the shop to update the TPM program.
- Improve tool calibration process
- Update the calibration information in the system.
- Develop a weekl/monthly report to ensure the calibration program is compliant with the customer procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years experience in aerospace and/or a manufacturing environment
- Experience with management and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
- Experience in process continuous improvement with demonstrated results.
- Experience implementing 6S in a manufacturing or maintenance facility.
- Experience using the problem solving methodologies and tools: 8D, PDCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Poka Yoke, etc.
- A Six Sigma Green or Black belt will be considered an asset
- General knowledge of Aerospace Quality Systems and International Standards will be considered an asset
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite products. A certain degree of creativity and flexibility is required.
- Expert (role model) that can work with no supervision.
- Teamwork orientation and ability to lead a team to results without direct supervision.
- Strong Communication skills
