Vice President of IT

: Proper Hospitality is seeking a Vice President of IT to join our corporate team in Los Angeles. This key role will lead our Information Technology (IT) department and drive technological advancements across our growing portfolio of luxury lifestyle hotels. The Vice President of IT plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations, enhancing guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of data security and integrity. Key Responsibilities Strategic Technology Leadership

• Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with Proper Hospitality's overall goals
• Provide visionary leadership to drive technological innovation and digital transformation initiatives

Team Management

• Recruit, mentor and manage a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence
• Delegate responsibilities and set clear goals to team members

Infrastructure & Systems Management

• Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of robust IT infrastructure, including networks, servers and cloud-based systems
• Ensure the availability, reliability and scalability of IT systems

Information Security & Compliance

• Establish and enforce security policies and practices to safeguard sensitive data and guest information
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

Technology Partnerships

• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with technology vendors, service providers and solution providers
• Evaluate and select technology solutions that align with the company's objectives

Budget Management

• Develop and manage the IT department budget, optimizing resource allocation and cost control

Innovation & Guest Experience

• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance the guest experience, such as mobile apps, smart room technology, and personalized services
• Collaborate with other departments to implement technology-driven initiatives

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• Proven experience (at least 10 years) in IT leadership roles within the hospitality or luxury hotel industry
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, guest services and luxury hospitality standards
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated track record in managing complex IT projects and budgets
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and systems (e.g., property management systems, point of sale systems)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or other relevant certifications a plus
