Payroll Specialist/HR Generalist

-DESCRIPTION
-Ensure accurate weekly payroll processing, union dues and certified payroll
-Work with TPA payroll company to ensure taxes and deductions are correct
-Confirm payroll reconciliation is completed on schedule
-Job cost all payroll to appropriate projects
-Oversee HR Functions- employee relationships including recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations
-Manage and update the company handbook to ensure current compliance
-Assist with benefits administration, insurance renewal, and compensation plans
-Manage the performance review process, develop employee plans, and training programs
-Assure company policies are followed and all employee records remain compliant with legal requirements

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelors of Science degree preferred
-5-10 years’ experience in payroll, specifically certified payroll and working with unions in the construction industry.
-Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in HR functions from Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Relations, Benefits and HR Compliance.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-Strong mathematical and analytical skills
-Highly organized and detail oriented
-Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
-Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access
