Legal and Title, Senior Analyst
- Coordinate with developers, title companies, and project stakeholders to obtain title commitments, review ownership and legal descriptions, and support the issuance of title insurance policies for utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects
- Review and analyze title commitments, pro forma title policies, and related documentation to identify title exceptions, coverage requirements, risks, and curative actions supporting project development, financing, and construction activities
- Lead title curative efforts by preparing, negotiating, and tracking subordinations, non-disturbance agreements, affidavits, crossing agreements, construction consents, and other instruments required to secure acceptable title coverage
- Evaluate mineral ownership, subsurface rights, and related interests while coordinating with title partners, mineral owners, operators, and other stakeholders to support project development and risk mitigation efforts
- Request, review, and manage ALTA surveys, plats, easements, access agreements, and utility-related documentation while ensuring alignment with project, financing, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain project records, reporting tools, and tracking mechanisms to monitor title requirements, survey matters, curative activities, and project milestones across multiple projects and jurisdictions
- Collaborate with internal Legal, Land, Development, Engineering, Construction, and Finance teams, as well as external advisors and stakeholders, to resolve title-related matters and support successful project execution
- Support project transactions, land acquisitions, financing activities, and interconnection requirements by identifying and resolving real estate title issues impacting project development, construction, and long-term operations
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Legal Studies, Land Administration, Paralegal Studies, or a related field
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in real estate, title insurance, land administration, or a related discipline, including experience supporting renewable energy title transactions, construction consents, and project development activities
- Experience reviewing title commitments, title policies, legal descriptions, easements, and related real property documentation supporting project development, financing, construction, or operations
- Knowledge of title curative processes, title insurance requirements, ALTA survey standards, mineral ownership considerations, and real estate risk mitigation practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, with the ability to organize, analyze, and manage large volumes of project and title-related data
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Effective collaboration, communication, and organizational skills, with the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and project requirements
