Reporting to the University Registrar, the Transfer Evaluation Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the transfer credit evaluation process established by the Registrar and faculty, ensuring the accurate review of all academic credits. The coordinator will also work closely with the Dean of Enrollment Management and/or admissions counselors to ensure timely responses to transfer-student applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
- Ability to use key technology tools such as CRM and SIS
- Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to train, assist, and motivate student staff toward their recruitment goals

- Support the overflow needs of other departments within the respective university area
- Perform other duties in accordance with this position as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor
Essential Functions:
- Evaluates transcripts of potential applicants, accepted applicants, and currently enrolled students to determine course equivalencies and the appropriate application of those courses for academic program completion.
- Analyze applicants for admissions including academic transfers and related documents to provide a preliminary review of applicants’ qualifications within 24 hours in order to meet enrollment
- Verify authenticity of transfers, determining acceptability of credits to the college and identifying equivalent courses in the university’s curricula as established by the registrar and faculty
- Evaluate and assign course equivalencies to external course(s) based on faculty approved rationale statements; obtain faculty feedback and recommendations as needed.
- Manage transfer evaluation process and posting of test scores (CLEP, AP, IB, etc)
- Collect, maintain, and evaluate the accuracy of new student academic records including, but not limited to the transferring of records into student information system (SIS) into Colleague
- Provide timely and accurate credit transfer information to prospective students to aid in enrollment decision-making
- Review and ensure accurate data in the Colleague system.
- Meet and maintain high-level goals for enrollment established by the Dean of Enrollment Management
- Assist in the continual improvement of current recruitment processes, procedures, and strategies by guiding and assisting enrollment counselors in the collection of transcripts.
- Provide excellent customer service experiences to prospective students and families
