Job Description:

Join a team of skilled software engineers developing cutting-edge systems, ranging from energy weapons to AI-powered sensors and drone swarm defense. As a Software Engineer, you will create reliable and real-time optimized User Interfaces (UIs) for sophisticated systems. Responsibilities:

• Implement and develop all aspects of web-based UIs.

• Provide insights into architectural decision-making, including framework trade-offs and error-handling strategies.

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into functional interfaces.

• Work with backend teams to improve API designs.

• Integrate novel front-end technologies into the existing stack.

• Take ownership of significant new features, including planning and technical documentation.

• Optimize performance, developer experience, CI/CD, and testing.

• Ensure codebase readability and clean coding patterns.

• Mentor and collaborate with team members.

MUST HAVE Skills:

• 5+ years of professional front-end/UI development experience

• 4+ years of professional experience with Typescript development

• 4+ years of React development for UI applications

• 3+ years of Redux experience

• Computer Science (CS) fundamentals

• UI development specifically for web applications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional front-end/UI development experience.

• Competence in front-end build tools, bundling, and transpilation.

• Experience with testing frameworks for unit, integration, and e2e testing.

• Proficiency in CSS, SASS, and frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind, Material-UI.

• Experience optimizing performance for real-time React applications.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development.

• Experience working with a design/development pipeline.

• At least 1+ years experience with web-based 3D rendering, data visualization, or mapping libraries.

• Experience with wireframing/design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.

Work Environment

The work schedule is hybrid, requiring 3-4 days on-site. You will participate in a mix of sprint planning and integrating ad-hoc tasks as they arise. Junior engineers focus on tickets, while Sr. engineers engage more in architectural tasks. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, California. There is the opportunity for this to turn into a full time, salaried position, at the end of the contract, should the employee hit their milestones and accurately complete tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63.00 - $90.00/hr.
