About the Role

We’re excited to invite a talented and motivated Web Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team! The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in modern web technologies and a genuine passion for crafting engaging user interfaces. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Next.js, Typescript and React


• Implement state management solutions using Redux


• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups into functional front-end code


• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and apply them to operations and activities


• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases


• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs


• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities


• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including modern ECMAScript features


• Proficient in TypeScript for enhanced code quality and maintainability


• Experience with Next.js, React, and Redux for building dynamic user interfaces


• Proficient in Tailwind CSS to create responsive and aesthetically pleasing designs


• Solid understanding of HTML and CSS for effective web development


• Familiarity with UI/UX design tools, with the ability to translate designs into functional front-end code


• Experience with front-end testing tools and methodologies, including unit and integration testing


• Basic understanding of Node.js and experience writing server-side code for API layers


• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, for collaborative development


• Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail


• Strong communication skills with the ability to thrive in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with additional CSS frameworks or preprocessors to enhance styling capabilities.


• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusive design.


• Experience with agile development methodologies for effective project management and collaboration.


• A portfolio showcasing personal or academic projects that highlights relevant skills and creativity.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is listed below. Pay may vary based on a number of factors including job-related skills, level, experience, geographic location and relevant education or training. At NewsBreak, we design our overall rewards package to attract top talents. Depending on the position, the role may also be eligible for discretionary bonus and options.
