Customer Service Assistant
The Customer Service Assistant will perform necessary tasks and general duties to assist the Customer Service Executive. Applies a comprehensive working knowledge of call center concepts, practices, and procedures. Will manage orders that provide delivery to customers, ensure orders are selected, packaged, loaded, and dispatched safely, timely, efficiently, and economically, and maintain proper records. Under organizational goals, provides direction to the team on activities. Identifies and analyzes problems; plans, tasks and solutions.
Duties/Responsibilities :
- Provides exceptional customer service daily on orders, quotes, product pricing, issues, availability inquires and potential business by phone, fax, and the internet.
- Maintains department profitability through research, report analysis, identifying trends, defining problems, and developing appropriate responses.
- Sets objectives, plans, and follows up to ensure all goals are met on time.
- Communicates with Department Heads, Associates, Customers, and Vendors to drive sales, ensure high levels of customer service, and forecast future business.
- Enter quotes on quantity/custom items and research orders.
- Coordinates between the Shipping Department and the Customer.
- Assist the Customer Service Department with delegated tasks and other duties.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma/GED and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of Customer Service work experience a plus.
- Computer Skills (Intermediate level) proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
- Ability to think and take constructive action at work without being urged.
- Detail-oriented, as well as organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication Skills - able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately to ensure effective department operations. Bilingual: Vietnamese (conversational) & English is a plus.
- Adapts in a fast-paced work environment and able to deal with multiple critical tasks/issues.
