Please apply if interested and prepared for this exciting but challenging opportunity. \n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. \n \n\u2022 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * 14+ years experience in embedded system development \u0026 debugging on ARM or other embedded system running Linux OS\n * Experienced in C, C++, Python programming languages\n * Audio Domain Knowledge with Android or Embedded Linux\n\n\n\nEmbedded System Development Experience:\n\n * Experienced in system design fundamentals\n * Solid knowledge of software design patterns and real-time, multi-threaded programming.\n * Experienced in developing and debugging software on SoC with heterogenous CPU cores e.g ARM and other DSP architecture\n * Understanding of power and performance considerations on embedded systems particularly with respect to ARM Linux and DSP platforms\n * Experienced in both Linux userspace and kernel device driver development, debugging, upstreaming\n\n\n\nMultimedia/Audio Experience\n\n * Experienced with multimedia framework especially audio focus ones such as Pipewire, ALSA, etc.\n * Have general understanding in audio signal processing\n * Experienced in audio usage models including playback, recording, voice activation, voice call, audio context detection\n * Familiar with standard audio bus interfaces (I2S, TDM, SoundWire)\n * Familiar with driver development for audio mixed signal peripherals (CODEC, speaker amp, digital microphone)\n\n\n\nOpen-Source Experience :\n\n * Passionate contributor or maintainer of established open-source projects such as Gstreamer, PipeWire, ALSA, Linux, etc.\n * Understand open-source community development, engagement, and upstreaming workflow\n * Experienced in both open source \u0026 product commercialization process\n\n\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
