General Summary:

Qualcomm's EDA and Third-Party IP Sourcing Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Sourcing Manager to source and manage Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools for both front-end and back-end design flows. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and extensive experience in sourcing EDA tools or serving as a Technical Manager for EDA products within a fabless design company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and procure EDA tools that meet the technical and operational requirements of Qualcomm's Global CAD Team.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with EDA tool vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance to ensure the best value and service for Qualcomm.
• Provide technical insights and sourcing roadmap to the team, ensuring that the selected EDA tools align with the design flow requirements and enhance productivity.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and finance, to ensure seamless integration and utilization of EDA tools.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the EDA industry, and provide recommendations for new tools and technologies that can benefit Qualcomm's design processes.
• Ensure that all sourcing activities comply with Qualcomm's policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in sourcing EDA tools or serving as a Technical Manager for EDA products within a fabless design company.
• Strong technical knowledge of EDA tools and their application in front-end and back-end design flows.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of sourcing or related work experience.
• Associate's degree and 10+ years of sourcing or related work experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of sourcing or related work experience.
• Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's equals one year, Doctorate equals two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
• 4+ years in a leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).
• 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Director level and above).
• 2+ years of working with cost projection and management.

Pay Range:

$151,500.00 – $227,300.00
