Job Title: SITE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER/LEADER (Aerospace exp is must) Location: Glendale, AZ 85307 Duration: Direct Hire Shift: Regular Relocation Assistance: Yes. : Must have aerospace experience. Must have strong tenure on resume This role has direct reports and will partner directly with the site Business Unit Manager while also reporting to the Division HR manager. This site has approximately 460 employees, and you will have many opportunities to demonstrate leadership by positively impacting your team and business partners. Site Human Resources Manager / Leader will demonstrate leadership skills as a strategic HR business leader who will be relied upon to bring results-based business acumen into play. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as the strategic HR partner between operations and the HR function by understanding the business needs, developing the HR strategy for the site, and implementing HR initiatives to support business growth. Be a change agent by leading the changes that are necessary while assisting stakeholders in successfully navigating through transitions. Champion a winning culture at the site by promoting a positive workplace, leveraging inclusion and employee recognition, and amplifying our presence in the community where we operate. Manage the site's end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate selections, interviews, and offer negotiation, partnering with the talent acquisition team as needed to support the recruitment strategy. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing processes, monitoring effectiveness, and identifying opportunities to enhance operational performance, reduce complexity, and create a better experience for our employees. Utilize data to drive decisions and ensure its integrity and accuracy. Coaches and influences a diverse set of stakeholders. Lead ethics investigation for the site and manage all employee relations issues, using adequate techniques for conflict resolution. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including equal employment opportunity/affirmative action, work authorization, etc. Manages all the compensation annual cycles for the site and its respective processes (merit, bonus, equity adjustment, market analysis), partnering with the compensation team on the corporate processes. Promote an open-door policy by implementing different strategies to listen to our employees and provide open and candid information through multiple communication channels, which includes employee engagement surveys, high performance teams, pulse surveys, skip levels, and others. Consults with and advises management on organization design that will enable business to grow and operate effectively. Build organizational capability for the site, identifying critical roles/skillsets, defining a workforce plan, and creating strategies to fill the gap in the short and long term. Drives and facilitates the management team in assessing, developing our talents, and creating effective succession plans. Lead and develop the HR team to achieve performance excellence. Implement strategies that drive organization and functional effectiveness. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED A BACHELOR?S DEGREE IS REQUIRED; the ideal candidate has studied Human Resources, Psychology, Business/Management, Organizational Management, or related HR areas of study. At least 10 years of significant professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of Human Resources teams. Experience supporting a Manufacturing environment. NICE TO HAVE Master's degree (or international equivalent) in Human Resources, Psychology, Business/Management, Organizational Management, or related HR areas of study. SPHR certification. Experience in the Aerospace industry Demonstrated leadership, project management, and change management experience. Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend solutions aligned with business needs. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external stakeholders Must have excellent employee relations, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution experience.
- Deliver small to mid-sized global projects with the objective of being in-scope, on-budget, on-schedule, and consistent with quality standards and high customer satisfaction from pre-sales to post go live'.
- Ensure that project scope is clearly defined and communicated consistently and effectively.
- Drive effective status updates to commitments across the organization through effective communication plans.
- Develop accurate project schedules by identifying dependent and parallel task durations, and owners to provide timelines.
- Ensure that effective project change control is established for each project as organizational processes mature.
- Manage project risk mitigation planning and escalate critical risks appropriately.
- Identify, assess, track project issues to closer.
- Ensure milestone dates are met; evaluate impact change request against communicated timelines.
- Identify bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and manage tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints.
- Excel in a matrix managed organization; lead by influence without formal authority.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of Technical/Engineering Software Products and/or Project Management experience.
- 5+ years' experience working with electrical, mechanical and software Engineering teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in IT/ Business / Engineering / Computer Science
- Demonstrates servant leadership qualities and is comfortable with "fail fast", learn, and to rapidly iterate towards a solution.
- Demonstrated ability to own an assignment and see it through to completion; detailed oriented and good with follow-through'.
- Dynamic strategic planning and organizational skills in Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Exceptional active listening, presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
- Ability to travel when necessary (up to 25%) or be local to the main office in Moorestown NJ
- Experience with Atlassian tools: Jira, Confluence and Advance Roadmaps is a plus
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
- Experience in manufacturing, material handling and/or warehouse automation a plus
