Staff Full-Stack Engineer

Our client, a software development startup , is seeking a Staff Full Stack Engineer to join its founding engineering team and help build the operating system for business aviation . This is a high-impact role for a high-agency engineer who can take ownership of features end to end—from backend architecture to frontend experience—and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and enhance an AI-driven agent that powers seamless interactions across the platform
• Lead full-stack development across backend, middleware, and frontend for trip management, request generation, and core user workflows
• Integrate with flight management systems to surface real-time global aircraft availability and live transponder data
• Build and scale dispatch tools for managing aircraft fleets and pilots, including an iOS-first pilot application
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude and similar) to accelerate feature development and improve engineering workflows

What We're Looking For

• 5–10+ years of full-stack engineering experience , with meaningful time spent in early-stage startups (pre–Series C)
• Proven ability to take products or major features from concept to production (0 1 or 1 scale)
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript
• Experience using AI in product development and workflow automation
• Familiarity with containerization and infrastructure tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
• High-agency mindset with the ability to own features end to end and move quickly with minimal direction
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science (top-tier academic background strongly preferred)
• Clear signal of excellence through prior work experience, technical leadership, or academic achievement
