Your Role: Assistant General Manager
As an Assistant General Manager, you will support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of operations at Homecoming at The Preserve, a busy and beautifully maintained apartment community in Chino. This role plays a critical part in optimizing net operating income, leading onsite teams, and ensuring residents experience a high-quality living environment.
What You’ll Do
• Assist in managing Leasing, Maintenance, Resident Services, and Events teams to ensure operational excellence
• Support accurate and timely reporting, including AP, AR, FAS, and other site accounting requirements
• Assist with hiring, training, motivating, monitoring, and recognizing team members
• Serve as a first point of escalation for resident concerns, complaints, and FAS inquiries
• Follow up on resident feedback and reputation surveys to maintain strong customer relations
• Conduct regular audits and spot checks of resident files to ensure 100% compliance
• Support special corporate projects, feasibility studies, and requests from upper management
• Walk the community regularly to ensure safety, curb appeal, asset preservation, and resident satisfaction
• Utilize MS Office (Word, Excel), OneSite, YieldStar, and other property management systems

What We’re Looking For
• 4+ years of proven property management experience
• Strong leadership background with experience overseeing onsite teams
• Knowledge of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
• Experience with budgets, financial reporting, and operational oversight
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Perks
• The Lewis Group of Companies reasonably expects to pay $35- $41.00 per hourfor this role, with actual compensation based on skills, experience, location, and business needs.
