The Runner at Neighborly is essential in delivering a memorable dining experience. This role goes beyond just delivering food; it involves maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant environment, anticipating and fulfilling guest needs, and serving as a bridge between the kitchen and the front of house. Through friendly interactions, proactive service, and a commitment to guest satisfaction, this position helps foster an atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver food orders to guests, verifying each order for accuracy before presenting it.

• Keep tables, floors, and bus stations clean and organized. Prioritize a clean, well-maintained dining space, including routine restroom checks, sweeping, and emptying trash to ensure an inviting atmosphere.

• Regularly check in with guests to ensure they have everything they need, such as silverware, beverages, or additional items.

• Interact with guests with genuine hospitality and make every guest feel welcome

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Excellent communication and people skills with a friendly, guest-focused demeanor

• Sense of urgency and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work collaboratively with team members

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize

• Able to work flexible hours as necessary

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in food service is preferred

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

• Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 24 hours a week

• Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day

• Must be able bag/box orders, lift and carry up to 25 lbs

• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens to include peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish
