Staff Nurse III - Birthing Center - Full Time (.75) 12-hr Days

Salary Range: $92.03 - $122.68Summary of Duties: The Staff Nurse III is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides fiscally responsible care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation and other health care team members. He/she demonstrates excellence in nursing practice, thoroughness, creativity, leadership, education and participation in unit projects.
Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's degree in nursing is required or Master's Degree in nursing - PLUS experience as outlined below.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Current California RN license required. AHA BLS and PALS required.
Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in nursing: 2 years' experience as RN and 2 years' experience in specialty immediate prior to application. Master's degree in nursing: 2 years' experience as RN and 1 years' experience in specialty immediate prior to application.Must be employed full-time or 4/5 at Washington Hospital for one year prior to making application (may be waived if full-time student in MSN program). Completion of the Staff Nurse III application packet and portfolio is required.Special skills or abilities: Ability to work productively in a busy and complex environment. Effective written and oral communication skills in English. Completion of the Staff Nurse III application packet and portfolio.
