Youll ship APIs that power real robots in the wild
What will you do?
Design and ship production-grade REST and gRPC APIs in Go
Build and maintain cross- SDKs (Go, Python, TypeScript)
Drive the full API lifecyclefrom design and versioning to rollout and monitoring
Work closely with robotics, infra, and product teams to translate robotic behavior into
clean APIs
Own observability, CI/CD pipelines, and platform stability
Mentor teammates, write design docs, and help scale engineering culture
What will you need?
5+ years experience building production backend systems
Proficiency in Go, and ideally Python or TypeScript
Experience with cloud- tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
Strong background in API architecture, including versioning and backward compatibility
Startup or startup-like experience
Passion for developer platforms and building tools other engineers love
Willing to work onsite in the Bay Area (relocation supported)
Bonus Points
You've built APIs consumed by external developers
Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, MQTT, WebSockets)
Past work on telemetry, real-time data, or observability stacks
Open source contributions or polished side projects
