General Liability Litigation Attorney

We seek an experienced and results-driven General Liability Litigation Attorney for a reputable firm based in Downtown Los Angeles. You will play a critical role in providing legal counsel and representation in matters related to general liability litigation. Your responsibilities will include managing cases from inception through resolution, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and representing clients in court proceedings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general liability law, excellent litigation skills, and a commitment to delivering favorable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a caseload of general liability litigation matters, handling all aspects from initial client consultation through resolution.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, case law, and precedents to inform case strategy and support legal arguments.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents by court rules and deadlines.
• Manage the discovery process, including conducting and responding to interrogatories, document requests, and depositions.
• Interact with clients to understand their legal needs, provide updates on case developments, and address inquiries.
• Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and other legal proceedings, presenting arguments and examining witnesses.
• Analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic advice to clients on potential risks and outcomes.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including settlement agreements, releases, and other case-related correspondence.
• Provide regular and timely updates to clients on case status, developments, and strategy.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, experts, and consultants to build strong legal cases.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership in California
• Three (3)+ years of experience as an attorney specializing in general liability litigation.
• Demonstrated ability to handle general liability cases, from pre-litigation through trial.
• Strong legal research and writing skills (writing samples are required).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective representation and client communication.
• Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
• Collaborative mindset with effective teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving laws, case dynamics, and client needs.

Salary:

$130,000 - $150,000, DOE
