A fast-growing private medical technology company is seeking a Controller to lead its finance function as it prepares for a potential public offering in 2025. With strong revenue growth, healthy margins, and a global presence, the company is positioned for continued expansion and is building out a finance function to support this next phase.

This leadership role will oversee all aspects of financial operations, public company readiness, and reporting compliance, with responsibility for a team of approximately 10. The ideal candidate brings a mix of public company experience and private company agility, ideally within the medical technology or life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control processes.

• Manage and develop a growing finance team, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

• Lead IPO readiness efforts, including preparation of financial filings and coordination with external auditors and advisors.

• Implement scalable processes to support growth and future public company operations.

• Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term financial planning and strategy.

• Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and government reporting requirements across domestic and international operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership roles in a public company setting.

• Experience preparing for or participating in an IPO is preferred.

• Prior background in a medical technology or related industry is highly desirable.

• Big Four public accounting experience is a plus.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and navigate a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Experience working with international entities is a plus.
