Licensed Veterinary Technician (RVT)

We are looking to expand our Veterinary Nursing team as we seek to grow and provide more advanced care for our patients. We are looking for licensed Veterinary Nurses who are eager to utilize their existing skills to their fullest and continue to grow and learn new skills.

Our Veterinary Nurses are the core providers of patient care and are also integral to providing client education and service. Arcata Animal Hospital provides a variety of advanced services to utilize your veterinary skills, including surgery, comprehensive anesthetic monitoring and when needed, ventilation, complete oral health and treatment services including digital dental radiographs, ultrasound, laser therapy, hospice and palliative care, and TCVM. We are also adding PRP/Stem cell therapy to our practice, and have just added an rigid and flexible endoscopy services. Laparoscopic surgical services are on the horizon. Our Veterinary Nurses have ample opportunities for continuing education and are encouraged to pursue advanced training in areas of special interest.

This position is full-time (40 hours a week, 10-hour days).
Hours include weekdays and rotating Saturdays, and being part of an emergency rotation (about 12-15 overnight weekend shifts/year), and we are open to accommodating school schedules based on hospital needs.

Qualifications:

• A current California RVT license is required.
• RVTs are expected to be current on the required CE for license renewal.
