The team\u2019s objectives are centered on building scalable platforms, advancing automation, improving data availability and workflow usability, and ensuring timely, accurate support for financial crime operations. \n \nKey challenges include evolving compliance expectations, complex cross-system integration, balancing modernization with ongoing run-the-business commitments, and maintaining speed, quality, and control in a highly regulated environment.\n\nJob Description:\n\nEssential Responsibilities: \n\n * Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.\n * Advises immediate management on project-level issues\n * Guides junior engineers\n * Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices\n * Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor\u2019s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\n\n\nAdditional Responsibilities \u0026 Preferred Qualifications:\n\nAdditional Responsibilities\n\n * Design, development, and testing of features/functions delivered via applications and services.\n * Collaborating with peers and seniors both within their team and across the organization.\n * Working with product managers using agile methodologies to deliver high quality solutions on time.\n * Collaborate frequently with other developers to design and implement the required solutions.\n * Work with product and design teams to develop new ideas and explore new opportunities.\n * Working with operations teams to ensure your applications and services are highly available and reliable.\n * Participate in formal and informal code reviews to ensure code quality.\n * Be a champion of high-performance, secure, and reliable software services.\n * Collaborate and communicate effectively with all non-technical stakeholders (Product, Design, Analytics, etc.)\n * Actively contribute to our automated test suite to enable speedy and reliable continuous integration.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Proficient in back-end development using Java technologies.\n * Experience with REST API\u0027s and competent designing and building web services/microservices.\n * Proficiency in Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Core, Spring Batch)\n * Solid understanding of concepts like Web Services, SOA, REST APIs, Message Queue, Distributed/Scalable Architecture.\n * Deep understanding of and extensive experience applying software design patterns, data structures, algorithms. advanced object-oriented design, development principles and good analytical and problem-solving skills.\n * Be driven to get results and not let anything get in your way.\n * Be proactive and anticipate/handle most issues before they escalate.\n * Exhibit a strong backbone and challenge the status quo when needed.\n * Demonstrate a high level of curiosity and keep abreast of the latest technologies.\n * Show pride of ownership and strive for excellence in everything you do.\n * Bring fresh ideas for how to continuously improve our software and your team.\n * Advocate for ways to remediate technical debt on an ongoing basis.\n * Advocate \u0026 promote clean and scalable coding principles.\n\n\n\nSubsidiary:\n\nPayPal\n\nTravel Percent:\n\n0\n\n-\n\nThe base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring.
