Your Mission as Our First Product Manager

Why This Role Now: Shape Luma’s Product Future

As Luma’s first Product Manager, you’ll set the entire PM function, own the roadmap for our multimodal foundation-model product, and partner with research, design, and engineering to turn user insights into shipped features. This is a pivotal moment as we transition from research to product—your leadership will bring structure, turn early traction into product-market fit, and keep cross-functional teams aligned. You’ll have high agency to drive the product roadmap, working closely with users to understand their needs and translating those insights into impactful product solutions. What You'll Create & Lead

• Define and drive the end-to-end product vision and roadmap, setting the foundation for product management at Luma

• Collaborate closely with users to deeply understand their needs and translate insights into impactful product features

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, and research—to deliver high-quality product outcomes

• Assess and manage project risks and milestones to ensure realistic timelines and successful delivery

• Drive product-market fit by continuously iterating based on user feedback and data

• Act as a key communicator between stakeholders to align priorities and maintain clear project direction

• Champion innovation by exploring how AI can transform the creative process and enhance user experience

• Influence the research roadmap by integrating user insights with foundational model capabilities

• Foster a culture of curiosity and problem-solving within the product team

• Conduct user/customer interviews, synthesize insights, and translate them into prioritized features and actionable plans

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally with 3+ years leading product development in technology or AI-driven companies, especially in early-stage, product-led startups

• Demonstrated user research and feature discovery skills

• Strong ability to understand and translate user needs into actionable product requirements and roadmaps

• Strong risk assessment, prioritization, and project management skills to meet deadlines

• Excellent cross-functional communication, especially with engineering and research teams

• Experience engaging directly with customers and users to gather insights and validate product decisions

• Curiosity and a thoughtful perspective on how AI can transform creative processes and product experiences

• Ability to organize and drive projects from ideation through to shipping impactful features

• Comfort working in a high-agency environment where you will define and shape the product management function

• Ability to translate user needs into actionable product features and outcomes

• Familiarity with foundational AI models or related technologies is a strong plus

• Track record of delivering strong product-market fit and measurable business outcomes
